Chris Hanis – President and Chief Technology Consultant

Chris co-founded Precision Networks with his former business partner Scott in 2002. Chris became the sole owner of the company with the departure of his business partner and co-founder in early 2004.

 
Chris brings a lifelong passion for technology together with his ability to rapidly solve complex situations. After a previous 18 year career in the grocery industry where he learned tremendous efficiency skills as well as gaining 16+ years of management experience. He brings his dedication to problem solving and efficiency to the technology arena with a "do it fast - do it right" standard that translates to projects and problems being solved quickly and correctly. 

Born and raised in the Puget Sound area and currently residing in Renton with his wife Wendy of 24 years and his two sons Kyle and Kevin. An avid and accomplished photographer, pilot, and public speaker, Chris is as comfortable in front of a microphone, after 10 years of hosting his own radio show on technology, as he is virtualizing servers.  Chris grew up around aviation and earned his Private Pilots license at just 18. He then continued through his training for his Commercial Instrument before taking his career a different direction. He still takes an interest in flying an currently has approximately 600 hours with time in an enviable number of airplanes from Cessna 150's, Aeronca Champs Grumman Goose to full-motion sim time in 767, 777 and even the new 747-8. He has volunteered much time with youth sports including five years as the President of Renton Little League, and photographing football and baseball games for Hazen High School where his younger son Kevin attends and Kyle graduated from in 2015 as well as Chris' Alma Mater. He served a term on the City of Renton's Parks and Open Space Steering Committee.
